Nancy

Nancy Holuk passed away on February 18 and all who knew her will miss her so much. Brian and I got to know Nancy well when we lived in Massachusetts and attended Calvary Baptist Church. After hearing that she had been diagnosed with cancer, I went back to MA last June to visit her and other friends that I hadn't seen in a couple years. That was the last time I saw her. She was the most loving, Godly woman I knew who reached out with warmth and care to everyone.

Tumble Tots

For the past 2 months I've been taking Jadon and Leah to gymnastics at Westwood on Wednesdays from 9:30-10:30. I stay with them the whole time and they get to use all of the equipment: trampolines, balance beams, bars, etc. They have a blast and it's good exercise for them during the winter months.

Here are Jadon and Leah jumping off the end of a long, narrow trampoline called a tumble track.

Leah's jumping on the big trampoline in this shot. Too bad I didn't get a good picture of Jadon on it because he loves to jump high, do bottom drops, split his legs apart, and do all kinds of fancy moves.

Leah likes to hang and swing on the bars.

They don't always use the equipment for it's intended purpose, but they have fun exploring and experimenting.

The Cousins

Kylie and Dylan came over to play on Saturday, while Brant and Brian sanded Deb's hardwood floors. They all climbed in the Pack 'n Play, being naughty, but fun and adorable at the same time.

Celebration Dinner

After our final track session, we went out to Angelo's for a "team dinner". I look forward to our outdoor training runs and races coming up this spring and summer.

Mile Time Trial

Winter Track wrapped up last week. We ran the mile the first week, half way through, and again during the last class. The last time I ran it in 6:55 and met my goal of running at least a 7 min. mile. I'm enjoying my running so much and love seeing improvement. I also made more friends in track this year and that made it really fun.

My Little Valentines

All the holidays are fun with little ones around. Jadon enjoyed his Valentine party at pre-school on Thursday and today we went to a party at Anita's house. He and Leah played with their friends, made a Valentine holder, decorated a cookie, and had a special snack. We don't have as many playdates with this group because of different preschool schedules, so today was nice.

B-rry Scurry

I haven't blogged in a while, but things here are going well. Last weekend I went skiing with Jeff, Charity, Sarah, Greg, Julie, and Marianne. It was so fun and I got the itch to do more, so Brian and I are going up to Chestnut in a couple weekends for a ski date. Brian has been doing a little preaching lately, filling in for pastors at different churches. He also got out of the freezer at WalMart and is now working on the dry side. He's enjoying the change. The kids have been doing well. Leah's new thing is rambling on and on when she talks. Her 2nd birthday is just a few weeks away. I have been enjoying the winter track program this year. I ran a race with a bunch of my running club friends yesterday, the B-rry Scurry. It was a 4 mile race and I ran it in 32:14. I was happy with that. Several of my friends placed in their age group and took home metals. With some shopping before the race and the post race party, it was a really fun day.

Brenda, Anita, and I rode together and hung out all day. Here we are right before the race with the B-rry Scurry mascots.

Anita is a rising star in our running club. She was the 4th female overall in this race and 1st in her age group.

Cheryl and Nicole came in 2nd and 3rd in their age group. Good work ladies!
