RRRR Banquet

On Saturday night, Brian and I went to the Rock River Road Runners Banquet at the Sterling Candlelight Inn. It was fun because we have more friends in the club now. We enjoyed dinner, karaoke, dancing, and just getting to know people better.

Tom and Heather. Heather is an art teacher and fellow runner.

Mark and Anita
I participated in a few songs when there were enough people that I didn't actually have to sing into a mic. It was fun.

Happy Birthday Dad!

My dad's birthday is on Monday and we were happy to have him over today for a special lunch. After a little visit, he and Brian headed off to an Iowa Hawkeye game with Keith and Brant.

Girl Time

Leah enjoys playing with her dolls and it's so sweet seeing her nurture and love on them. My mind can't help but flash forward to day when I will (hopefully) see my daughter take care of her real babies. I'm already excited about being a grandma!

Last night Jaymie hosted Ladies Night In for some of us Harvest Time girls. I am so thankful for the friendships and fellowship God is giving me here.

This morning Anita and I went for a long jog along the canal in 0 degree weather. The snow mobiles packed down a nice path for us and it was beautiful. We even saw a pack of deer at one point.

Awanas

Jadon has really been enjoying Awanas this year. The kids check in and say Bible verses, have playtime, listen to a Bible lesson, sing songs, have show-n-tell, make a craft, and eat a snack. I help out with his Cubbies group (3's and 4's) and took a few pictures this past week on hat night.

Here's Angie, Victoria, Eli, Jalee, Luke, Analeisa, and Mikayla.

One of the helper's, Emmalee, playing a hat trick on the kids.

Here's Faith, Regan, Jadon, Brecken, Judah, and Rylan.

Jadon makes a snowman...more silly than cute.

...and the best part- snack time!

New Year's

Happy New Year everybody! I love this time of year, a time to reflect on the past year and dream about the one to come. I like making goals and having a fresh start. I hope 2010 is a great year for you!

Here is what we did for New Year's...

Brian had to work very early on New Year's Day so he couldn't be out late. I went solo to a party with church friends and it was a lot of fun. Here's a shot of all the ladies.

On New Year's Day, Deb and Brant's family came over. Deb made lots of fun party foods and we watched football, played games, and enjoyed some relaxing family time.
