Poop Camp 2010

Every year I take my kids to my parents' house for a few days while they are watching my sister's children. We do fun activities and the cousins get to bond. We weren't sure if Poop Camp would happen this year because Claire broke her arm just a few days before the trip. They did come, though, and each day Claire seemed better and happier.

I got a cute picture of my mom reading to the kids. They love spending time with grandma and grandpa and playing in the basement with all the toys. On Saturday we went to Independence Grove to walk around, feed the fish, and play on the playground. Then on Sunday we took them to Six Flags Great America.

Poop Camp 2

Our day at Six Flags was a success. My favorite part was going on the Log Ride with Jadon. I wasn't sure how he would do with the big drop and splash at the end, but he loved it. Despite her broken arm, Claire was able to go on almost all the rides and she was a real trooper. The kids enjoyed the Wiggles show, too.

Poop Camp 3

On Monday morning, Dad and I took the kids to an awesome park in Gurnee. It was huge and the kids had so much fun. All in all, it was a great Poop Camp.

Running the Windmill Hill

Dutch Days in Fulton

Lori and I took our kids to Fulton on Saturday for a very fun Dutch Days Festival. The highlight was exploring the historic windmill there and running up and down the hill it sat on. The kids also enjoyed some carnival rides and watching the ponies and petting zoo animals. We saw a gymnastics performance and just had fun walking around together.

Ladies' Tea with Cindy

Cindy invited us to the Ladies' Tea at her church in the QC. We had a great dinner and once again Leah and Kylie had fun running around in their pretty dresses, holding hands, twirling, and playing. Most of the time Leah plays with boys and their toys, but these "Princess Parties" have exposed her to more girly things.
