My Dad, Aunt Sue, Uncle Jack, and Uncle Chuck

Here we are watching some old family slides. It was a little emotional seeing the beloved family members who are no longer with us- especially my grandma, Aunt Ann, and Uncle Jim.

On Saturday afternoon we headed up to Dubuque for a family reunion at my Aunt Susie's house. The main reason for our get-together was for the extended family to meet my brother's son, Charlie. It was good to see everyone and Jadon and Leah had a blast playing with Addison and their other second cousins.

Pumpkin Dash

On Saturday we went to the Pumpkin Dash in Sterling. There were barrel rides, bounce houses, a petting zoo, and other festival activities, but the main attraction was kids' races for every age group. We met up with the Petersons which made it really fun. The first time Jadon ever participated in this, he was 1 1/2 and we had to carry him the whole way because he refused to run. This year he ran and came in 2nd place out of a group of 20, 5 yr. old boys. I was a proud mama.
