Leah's 1st Birthday
Leah turned 1 on Thursday and we celebrated with the Jones Family at Vicki and Keith's house. Vicki made it so special with balloons, decorations, and good snacks. We had Happy Joe's Pizza and Grandma Jones' sheet cake. We even got to chat with Dale, Nancy, and Avery over the computer. Leah received many nice gifts and we watched her 1 year video. Thanks everyone for making Leah's birthday so nice!
Leah's 1st Birthday Cont'd
We really enjoyed getting together with all the Jones' and got some nice family pictures. Vicki and Leah share the same birthday. Here's Vicki opening some of her cards and gifts. The kids loved running around Vicki and Keith's house, including Leah. It was cute to see her and Kylie walking hand in hand in their matching dresses.
Bottles
I am proud to say that I completed a year of nursing Leah. Weaning is going very well because she has really taken to a bottle. In about 2 weeks I will be totally liberated, yay! Here she is with her beloved bottles. The last picture shows Brian, Jadon, and Leah previewing her 1 year video on the computer.

My Funny Valentines
Valentines Day was so fun this year. Jadon exchanged Valentines at Awanas on Wednesday night and then had a V-day party at preschool on Thursday. He came home with a big bag of loot which he has been thoroughly enjoying. On Saturday we had a special breakfast and went to play at the Attig's house. That evening we had family time and when the kids went to bed, Brian and I enjoyed some drinking chocolate. Brian gave me a beautiful bouquet of flowers. I'm so thankful for God's love and the wonderful family he's given me.
Winter Track
I just completed a 2 month Winter Track program. This picture shows the whole "class" celebrating at Angelo's after our last workout. It also happened to be one of the runner's 5oth birthday. I thoroughly enjoyed this program. Getting out of the house 2 nights a week was a treat, thanks Brian and Deb! This class kept me running during the winter and I improved so much. My friend Anita participated with me and we decided to do a Half Marathon together in September to keep ourselves motivated. I'm sad it's over, but I look forward to running more outside as the weather gets better.

Claire's 5th Birthday
We traveled to Grand Rapids, MI to celebrate our niece's birthday. My parents and our family stayed at the JW Marriott, a very nice hotel downtown. We went for a little swim Friday afternoon and then went over to the Sackett's house for dinner. On Saturday the Sacketts came over for a pool party and lunch. Leah was having so much fun that she skipped her morning nap. She finally ran out of steam at lunch and fell asleep while trying to get food to her mouth. It was adorable! That evening we went back to the Sackett's for the official birthday party. Claire loved her balloon, flowers, birthday cake, and gifts- especially her new bike. Jadon thought that bike was totally awesome and he's still talking about it. It was a fun weekend and it wore the kids out. Leah slept for almost 4 hours straight on the way home.
Superbowl Party
We had the Johnson Family, Attig Family, and Jeff and Charity over for the Superbowl. We enjoyed lots of yummy food and it was cute to see all the kids eating at our coffee table. It was like a child size dining table. We were all shocked by how nicely the kids played together. The adults were actually able to talk and enjoy the game- and what a game it was!
