Wendy's New Baby

Emily was born on Sat., April 12th, so Jadon, Leah, and I went to meet her this past Monday. I hadn't been to Wendy's house in a long time, but I knew I was in the right place when I saw the sign in the front yard, "GIRL #3". Emily is a beauty and Jadon had fun playing with Anna and Bella. He got to give his first makeover. I included some recent pictures of Jadon and Leah at home. Jadon continues to be a wonderful, affectionate big brother. Leah now smiles a lot and is sleeping through the night :) Life is good.

Libby's Shower

Libby's baby shower was at her brother's house in Lockport on Sat., April 26th. It was very elegant and fun. Libby got a lot of nice things. I enjoyed seeing Libby, Amy, and Leslie, and talking with Libby's aunts. Leah enjoyed getting attention from Amy's son Aiden. This was the last baby shower for a while.

Leah's Dedication

We dedicated Leah in church on Sunday, April 20th. The service was beautiful. Pastor Rich did a great job with the dedication and Pat Gaumer sang "Give You Wings" by Mark Harris. All the Pins' and Larry and Cindy dined at the Candlelight Inn afterwards. Leah is a blessing and we all love her very much!

Jadon's 2nd Birthday

Jadon had a wonderful birthday! We had a Disney Cars themed party here at the house and many relatives came to help us celebrate. Grandma Pins, Sue and Les, Melanie, Addison, Bob, and Sam all came from Dubuque. Stephanie and her family came from Grand Rapids. Grandma Sels and Jim, Grandma and Grandpa Jones, and Brant's family all came from the Quad Cities. Dick, Judy, and Jeff came from Chicago and Deb came from down the street. Jadon especially had fun with all his cousins! They blew bubbles, opened a pinata, chased Jeff's dog around, and played with Jadon's presents. We enjoyed Deb's homemade ice cream, Dick's desserts, and birthday cake. It was a very special day and thank you all for making the trip!

Kim's Baby Shower

Kim's baby shower was on Sunday, April 6. It was a lot of fun and I especially enjoyed seeing my pregnant friends. Amy joined the club and is due Oct. 31. Wendy couldn't make it because she was too far along in her pregnancy and I'm expecting word any minute that she's had the baby. It's going to be so fun to get all these babies together this winter.

The Loveladys Visit

Ben and Becki brought their new baby, Phin, to Sterling. He was born 1 week before Leah and he's a real cutie. It was good to fellowship and talk parenting.

Julie, Sarah, and Greg

This weekend Julie, Sarah, and Greg came to meet Leah. They made us a gourmet Italian dinner and did all the dishes, giving Brian and I some time to relax. We called Sarah the baby whisperer because she had a very soothing affect on Leah. Jadon fell in love with Julie and has been asking for her ever since she left. Greg impressed us with his skills in the kitchen. It was fun to hang out once again. We are blessed to have such wonderful friends.
