Easter

We celebrated Easter with Brian's family in the Quad Cities. Jadon and Kylie colored Easter eggs and had an egg hunt. We went to the church Brian grew up in and then had lunch at his grandparents house. It was a fun time, especially dressing Leah up in her first froofy dress. Jadon was very into finding eggs and especially eating candy.

Leah's 1st Days at Home

We are enjoying Leah so much! She is a very good baby and it has been a smooth transition from 1 to 2 children. Jadon is a doting big brother. He likes to hold Leah, hug and kiss her, help with her baths and diaper changes, and do tummy time with her. We have been keeping Leah home, except for church, but we have had lots of visitors. Many friends from the church and community have brought us meals, which has been a huge help. This is such a happy time for us!

Leah's Birth

Our little girl has arrived! Leah Marie was born on Tuesday, February 26th at 5:07am. The labor and delivery went fast and there were no complications, praise the Lord. Leah is healthy and beautiful! Shortly after her birth we were visited by my parents, Brian's mom, and big brother Jadon. We brought our little girl home the next afternoon and she is eating and sleeping well. Jadon is very interested in her and is sweet and gentle with her so far. We are so thankful for our children!

Showered

On February 9, the ladies from my church gave me a baby girl shower. It was a huge blessing! Several of my friends attended, including Krista and Anita, my 2 closest friends here in Sterling, as well as Sarah, Julie, and Charity, several of my dearest friends. It was the most fun I've ever had at a shower. We played a hilarious balloon game and I haven't laughed that hard in a long time. I received lots of adorable things and I'm so grateful! I also included a couple pictures of Jadon, the big brother to be. 2 1/2 weeks to go!

Time with Friends

In January we got to see a lot of our friends. I went to Becki Lovelady's baby shower. She is due 1 week before me. Krista and I took Jadon and Brecken to McDonalds for a playdate. On Jan. 19 I had a reunion of Augustana friends and their kids. 4 out of 5 of us are pregnant right now. I am due Feb. 27; Wendy is due Apr. 19; Kim is due May 25; Libby is due June 8. We are multiplying! Recently we went to Galena to surprise Charity for her birthday. We got to catch up with the Flemings. Travis replaced Brian as pastor of Calvary out in MA, but they are now living in the Chicago area. Also we got to meet some of Jeff and Charity's new friends. It was a fun month!

More Christmas Celebrations

We spent Saturday in Dubuque celebrating the holidays with my grandma, aunts, uncles, and cousins. It was great to see everyone. Last but not least we went to the Quad Cities to celebrate with Brian's mom, Deb, and his brother Brant's family. Jadon, Kylie, and Dylan had so much fun together. It's a blessing that we can have kids close in age and enjoy each other's company. Happy New Year everyone!

Snow Day

On Friday we got lots of snow- beautiful packing snow. Jadon and I had so much fun playing outside! That evening we went to Galena to visit our cousins/friends, Jeff and Charity. What a great day!
